Activate Puna returns to Hale Hālāwai O Puna, Pāhoa’s cultural mākeke (market) and entrepreneurial hub!

In commemoration of the 7th anniversary of the Kīlauea eruption, this community revitalization event elevates Puna’s people and strengthens social connections. It’s a celebration of resilience, progress, and the exciting future ahead for Lower Puna.

Activate Puna Town Party is happening Saturday, May 3rd, from 4:30 to 10PM at Hale Halawai O Puna – the former Akebono Theater lot in Downtown Pāhoa. Enjoy live music from Kalapana Awa Band, The Drew Daniels Band, The Project, Damon Williams, Positive Motion, and Kanaka Fyah – plus food trucks and a beer garden for those 21 and over. Proceeds support Pāhoa Lava Zone Museum and community projects across Lower Puna.
