Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi will present its 2024 fall musical, “Between the Lines,” with performances on November 14, 15 and 16 at the William Charles Lunalilo Center.
The show, based on the book by Timothy Allen McDonald and bestselling author Jodi Picoult, features music and lyrics by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson. The story follows 17-year-old Delilah as she navigates fitting in at school and a romance with a prince from another world. An outsider at her new school, Delilah finds solace in her favorite book, where she feels understood. As the lines between reality and fantasy blur in extraordinary ways, Delilah must decide if she has the power to rewrite her own story.
Senior Jaci Morales stars as Delilah, with freshman Azyn Ha-Ahu as Oliver, the prince longing for an autonomous life. Dr. Lehua Veincent, the school’s principal, plays Rapskullio, the villain who prefers painting butterflies to evil schemes. The show is directed by ʻAlohi Gronquist.
Tickets are $10 and available now on the Kamehameha Hawaiʻi GoFan page. Early entry VIP tickets are $20. Shows start at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for general admission. For additional cast and show information, and to purchase tickets, visit bit.ly/kshbetweenthelines.
