The Department of Transportation announced a number of Hawaiʻi Island lane closures during the week of January 15, 2024. Lane closure schedules may change without notice at any time. There will be no closures and contraflow operations on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Day unless permitted. All projects are weather permitting.
MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY/HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 11)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 7.25 to 7.36, in the vicinity of Keaau Pahoa Road, on Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Friday, Jan. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for restriping of crosswalks, lane lines and directional arrows.

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 6.2 and 6.4, in the vicinity of Kapue Stream Bridge beginning Monday, Jan. 15 through Friday, Jan. 19 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for emergency repairs to Kapue Stream Bridge.

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 23 and 27.6, in the vicinity of Stevens Road, on Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Friday, Jan. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for applying new roadway striping and reflective markers.
