The Kailua Village Business Improvement District (KVBID) is seeking a qualified candidate to serve on its 17-member board of directors.
Four of these board positions are appointed, and 13 are elected by the fee simple owners and/or lessees of land within the Kailua Village Business Improvement District.
The new board member will be elected at the KVBID Annual Meeting to be held on March 20, 2024. Applicants receiving the most votes per category will be elected to a two-year term. There is currently one board slot open and available to a Commercial Tenant within the District.
A Board of Directors Candidate Application Form is available online at www.KVBID.org. All Candidate Application Forms should be returned by mail or email (kailuavillage@gmail.com) no later than January 20, 2024. A brief resume/statement of interest should be included. A maximum of 50 words/information about the candidates will be included on the ballot.
Current Board of Directors include President Jay Rubenstein, Vice President Nancy Sakamoto, Treasurer Hobbs Lowson, Secretary Glennon Gingo, Bobby Command, Rebecca Villegas, Jacqueline Awa, Tim Dalhouse, Paka Davis, Anthony Gand, Randy Kurohara, Michael Quanan, Brock Stratton, Toby Taniguchi and Gabe Winkler.
Executive Director Ross Wilson Jr, County of Hawaii Public Works Director Steve Pause and County of Hawaii Finance Department’s Hamana Ventura serve as ex officio members of the board.
