U.S. Park Rangers are investigating a recent burglary at Pu’uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.
At approximately 10pm on September 22nd, a male suspect entered the park, burglarizing park offices and storage areas. The suspect stole several pieces of equipment including; batteries, chargers, weed whippers, chainsaws, cordless drills, grinders, sanders, and other items ranging in a total value of $15,000 to $25,000. Some of the items were marked with “PUHO” or “NP” followed by a number.
