On Wednesday, August 2, Representative Jill Tokuda will be in Hilo for the first installment “Tokuda in Your Town.”
The event, which will help constituents navigate the federal government and its agencies, will be held at the Hilo Public Library from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
“Navigating the federal government and its agencies can be difficult and time consuming. As your U.S. Representative, I am committed to making sure that you have an advocate on your side and that you can access all the resources that the federal government can provide. From passport issues, IRS, immigration, Social Security benefits, veteran’s benefits, and more— we are here to help. Constituents can submit support requests online using my website, but I want to make sure that we’re serving all of our ohana— especially those who just have questions, might not have access to the internet, or are unsure if they qualify for support. While we cannot guarantee a favorable outcome, we will do our best to help people in Hawaiʻi’s Second Congressional to ensure a fair and timely response to the issue or connect them with the relevant state and local authorities.” said Rep. Jill Tokuda in a statement.
Tokuda plans to hold future events on neighbor islands during the congressional August recess.
Constituents with questions can call Rep. Tokuda’s Hawaiʻi office at (808) 746-6220 or visit tokuda.house.gov.
