Hawaiʻi Island police located 28-year-old Shanice Ogata-Staudinger who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant in connection with an assault investigation.
On Wednesday, May 17, Puna Patrol officers responded to the Puna Kai Shopping Center in Pahoa after receiving a tip revealing her location. Upon their arrival, she was located in a blue colored Toyota Camry where she was arrested without incident.
After conferring with the County Prosecutor’s Office, Ogata-Staudinger was charged with:
- Second Degree Assault
- Abuse Family Household Member
- First Degree Terroristic Threatening
Ogata-Staudinger was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Her bail for all offenses was set at $16,000.
