The County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation announced the temporary closure of Spencer Park at ‘Ōhai‘ula. The closure, which begins on August 24, is due to a new water line leak.
On August 16, a repair to the water line was completed; however, another rupture requiring additional repair was discovered yesterday.
If emergency repairs are successful, the park may reopen by Friday, August 26. The public will be informed as repairs progress.
