
Hawai‘i Island police have identified the woman who died by electrocution in Hawaiian Beaches on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, as 58-year-old Cindy Lehuanani Gonsalves-Pascual, of Pahoa.
An autopsy, performed on Wednesday, October 13, concluded Gonsalves-Pascual died as a result of severe electrocution injuries, and the manner of death was ruled accidental.
Detectives with the Area I Criminal Investigation Section are continuing this investigation, which is classified as a public accident and coroner’s inquest.
