Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public to help them identify seven individuals wanted for questioning in several agricultural thefts occurring in the Pepe‘ekeō and Hāmākua areas.
The thefts took place along the Hāmākua Coast between June and September of 2021.
“Agricultural theft is a serious crime and the department is committed in pursuing those who commit these crimes,” said Lieutenant William Derr of the South Hilo Community Policing Section in a press release.
Police ask that anyone with information on the identity of these individuals or information regarding agricultural thefts in the Pepe‘ekeō and Hāmākua areas to call Officer D. Abalos of the Hilo Community Policing Section at (808) 961-8849 or via email at darren.abalos@hawaiicounty.gov.
