Johns Hopkins Reports Over 136 Million Worldwide COVID Cases

As of 5:30 am on Monday, April 12, 2021, The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 dashboard reports the following information. 

 Global Cases -136,181,468    Global Deaths – 2,938,804

U.S. Cases – 31,199,286   U.S. Deaths – 562,080

A current surge is underway in Michigan where active COVID cases jumped up to 100,000 in the last week.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ranks the state’s COVID-19 infection rate as No. 1 in the country with 492.1 positive infections per 100,000 people.
