U.S. COVID-19 cases stand at 21,069.442 U.S. COVID- 19 deaths are up to 357,620.
According to the Hawaiʻi Department of Health, the number of COVID-19 cases for the State of Hawaiʻi is now 22,168. The total number of COVD-19 deaths in Hawaiʻi remains at 289.
On Tuesday, January 5, 2021 The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 12 new cases of Coronavirus on Hawaiʻi Island with 2 persons hospitalized. No deaths have been reported in the last seven days.
Due to increasing case numbers, The Health Department continues to encourage the use of face coverings, practicing social distancing, and limiting gatherings to no more than 10 people to reduce any post-holiday COVID-19 spikes.
