Want a COVID-19 test?  Mayor Kim is encouraging everybody to get tested–and there is no charge.

Today, come to Afook-Chinen Auditorium, drive on in between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.  It’s drive in–wear a mask–this will help the County and State and you!  If you have COVID-19, you’ll know you need to stay away from others, and you can get treatment.  The testing is by Premier Medical Group, contracted by the County to help provide mass testing so the County can stem the tide of the virus.

On Friday, 21 new cases on the island were confirmed, bringing the active case count to around 290.  As of Friday, the island has lost 11 people to COVID-19, 10 of whom were residents of the Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home.   Although each of those who died was said to have underlying medical conditions, that could include being overweight, having diabetes, having COPD, just a variety of issues–and those people may have had years more to live without suffering with COVID-19.

Getting tested may help save lives on this island.
