The Hawaii Tourism Authority reports that on Saturday, 1,930 people arrived in Hawaii, including 481 visitors and 93 people who said they were relocating to Hawaii. There were also 683 residents.
Hawaii Island had 5 flights into Kona, which brought 30 visitors, 3 people who said they were relocating to Hawaii, and 23 residents.
All people coming in from out of state are subject to the mandatory 14-day quarantine imposed because of COVID-19. Effective August 1, travelers from out of state who voluntarily provide a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of traveling will not be subject to the quarantine, according to Gov. David Ige on June 24. But details are still being developed, according to state officials.
