Hawaii has added only 3 new COVID-19 cases today, after a week that saw days with new case numbers at 11, 14, 27, and 18. Yesterday had just 4, so with today’s count, the state may be back at a plateau. Another piece of good news is that deaths have not increased, and stand at 17.
Today’s 3 cases are on O’ahu. That leaves O’ahu with a cumulative case count of 571, 122 in Maui County, 85 on Hawaii island, and 29 in Kauai County, according to health officials. The total also includes 12 Hawaii residents diagnosed outside of the state.
Hawaii Island, according to the State Department of Health, has 3 active cases. The last cases added were 2 on Saturday, June 21.
This is positive for the state at a time when 25 states are showing notable increases in cases.
