The Hawaii Island Food Basket, the Big Island’s only food bank, is offering food to anybody in need today in Papa’aloa and in Honoka’a, and in Pahala and Volcano next week. They’ve seen a tremendous demand and will be adding new food distribution sites for May to the list soon–we’ll provide an update when available.
Most food distribution sites on the island are closed because of COVID-19. These sites are all drive-thru only, so please stay in your vehicle and volunteers will bring the food to you.

While the Food Basket is no longer accepting direct food donations because of COVID-19, they desperately need monetary donations, which may be done by mailing a check to Hawaii Island Food Basket at 40 Holomua St., Hilo, HI 96720, or online at https://www.hawaiifoodbasket.org/donate-1
