Because of low demand, North Hawaii Community Hospital is changing its COVID-19 screening and testing, effective Monday, April 6, to three days a week– Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The testing is drive through at the main hospital campus in Waimea.
No doctor’s order is needed, but on-site medical professionals will screen anybody interested. They will test people who have symptoms of COVID-19 — dry, acute cough; fever; recent loss of smell or taste; red eyes — and will also ask about exposure to a COVID-19 victim and travel history.
Please bring a photo I.D., and if you have insurance, please bring the card.
