Elton John will host a concert on Sunday featuring several top-notch performers, a benefit for worthy organizations helping during the time of COVID-19. The artists will perform at their homes, filming on their own cellphones or other devices, in order to reinforce the need for social distancing and to keep crews safe. Producers of The Fox iHeart Living Room Concert for America said they asked performers to use what instruments they had with them. Elton John said he is at his home in California, but has no piano there, so volunteered to host. Others performing include Tim McGraw, Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keyes, Sam Smith, Bilie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, and more.
The event is a benefit, and viewer will be able to support two of many charitable organizations that are helping victims and first responders during this pandemic–Feeding America, which supports many of the country’s food banks, and the First Responders Children’s Foundation, which provides help to first responders suffering financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Fox iHeart Living Room Concert for America will air on KHON2 in Hawaii at 3 p.m. It will also air on other Fox platforms and on iHeart Radio online.
