Total known deaths worldwide stand at 30,249. In the United States, 1,925 deaths are attributed to COVID-19.
Today on the Big Island, there is testing at Old Kona Airport from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Last Monday, there was a COVID-19 drive-through testing at Old Kona Airport. The total number screened was 1,629, and those who were determined to be candidates for testing numbered 299. Of those, according to Emergency Medical Nurse Lori Cannon, there were 4 positives, all of whom were college students returning from the mainland. A doctor’s order is not needed to go to the drive through testing, but all will be screened to determine if it’s appropriate for them to be tested.
