The Hawaii Health System Corporation’s (HHSC) West Hawaii Region (WHR) has hired Jane Clement as their Director of Marketing, Legislative Affairs and Strategic Planning.
In her position, which will begin on Monday, Clement will direct the WHR marketing and communications program, filling the role being vacated by Judy Donovan, who is retiring after 12 years with WHR. Clement will have primary responsibility for the development, implementation, management and evaluation of the region’s strategic plan for Kona Community Hospital and Kohala Hospital. In addition, she will assist in strategic planning and coordinate state and federal legislative affairs to ensure that WHR’s goals and objectives are met.
Clement has more than a decade of experience in legislative advocacy, strategic planning, and marketing and community relations. She joins the WHR after serving as the Mayor’s Executive Assistant and West Hawaii Liaison for the Roth Administration.
Clement currently sits on a number of community boards, including the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Family Services Hawaii and the Fil-Am Hawaii Foundation. She previously sat on the West Hawaii Region Board of Directors, where she chaired the Strategic Planning Committee. Clement resides in Kona with her husband, Erik.
