Hilo Native, Cody Min was the only UH Hilo Baseball player selected to the 2024 All-PacWest Team.
The junior was selected to the All-PacWest Second Team as a utility fielder, having begun the season as a designated hitter prior to playing first base and eventually splitting time as part of the catching rotation. Min totaled 126 putouts, 12 assists and a .330 batting average during the conference season.
Overall on the year (including non-conference contests), Min led the Vulcans with a .356 batting average, 63 hits, 29 runs scored and a .409 on-base percentage.
Point Loma shortstop Scott Anderson was tabbed as PacWest Conference Player of the Year with Westmont’s Tyler LaTorre voted Coach of the Year in attaining a 23-8-1 record in the Warriors’ first season of PacWest competition.
Nominations for All-PacWest Teams are submitted by each respective school’s sports information or athletics communications office and is later voted on by head coaches.
