Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center recently introduced new rehab services during an house and facility blessing.
The event started off with local kahu Moses Kaho’okele-Crabb offering a prayer and blessing the center. Afterward, attendees met facility staff, enjoyed refreshments and live entertainment and received guided tours of the center’s nursing units and its recently renovated rehab department.
The refurbished rehab department has new flooring, private exam and treatment rooms, advanced computer technologies and state-of-the-art therapy equipment. It also boasts a new ADL suite, a simulated kitchen and laundry room which gives patients a space to practice performing daily living activities, and is equipped with an AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill, which allows patients to strengthen their bodies using NASA-developed anti-gravity technology.
The center is also offering outpatient therapy to eligible community members for the first time in several years. In addition to therapy, the center provides skilled and intermediate nursing care, post-acute care, and respite services to local kupuna.
Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center is one of four skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Hawaiʻi managed by Life Care Centers of America.
