Victor Kandle has been named the new Hawaiʻi County Mass Transit Agency Administrator.
Kandle, whose official start date was June 16, comes to Hawaiʻi Island by way of Portland, Oregon, where he spent 20 years in leadership roles at TriMet, the city’s mass transit agency. He has experience in command center operations and transit control within bus and train transit systems. His Incident Management, FEMA Contingency Planning, CDL, and Management Training certifications further reinforce his qualifications for his role with Hawaiʻi County.
