Oprah Winfrey recently bought 870 additional acres of land on Maui for nearly $6.6 million. This new purchase brings her Maui land holdings to almost 1,000 acres.

Winfrey purchased the additional acres from Ulupalakua Ranch, one of the biggest cattle ranches on Maui, owned by the Erdman family.

Winfrey, who has been a part time Hawaiʻi resident for 15 years, already owns nearly 100 acres in Hana and Kula, in Maui’s upcountry region.
