On Saturday, January 28, Kona Community Hospital Employee Engagement Committee members conducted a cleanup at Old Airport Beach in Kona.
During the cleanup, the committee alongside KCH employees, and family members spent hours picking up over a pounds of trash from the beach park’s shore and picnic areas.
In a press release, CEO Clayton McGhan, said, “Kona Community Hospital staff are amazing. Although we primarily focus on our community’s health needs; it is not the only purpose we have as community members. We’re all stewards of this beautiful land, and taking part in the beach cleanup allows us to connect on a deeper level with our community. It was great to see the staff and their families come out for a singular purpose, to preserve the life and beauty of our beaches.”
