The Department of Transportation has announced a number of lane closures throughout Hawaiʻi Island during the week of January 16, 2023. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. There will be no lane closures on Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Route 130, Keaau-Pahoa Road Northbound Contraflow will not operate on this day as well.
VOLCANO ROAD/MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11)

Single lane closure on Volcano Road (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 22 and 25, in the vicinity of Kahaualea Road and Nahelenani Street, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, through Friday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK TO PAHALA
Single lane closure on Mamaloha Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 30 and 51.3, from the vicinity of Volcanoes National Park to Kamani Street, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, through Friday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of cables on existing utility poles.

Single lane closure on Mamaloha Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 45 and 47, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, through Friday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
