Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public for assistance in identifying suspects responsible for two separate Big Island robberies.  One at a Hilo business, and the other at a retail store in Waikoloa.

On December 6, Hilo patrol officers responded to a retail business on Kilauea Avenue where a store associate reported that a male suspect fled the business with a stolen backpack and other items. Hawai‘i Island police are also asking the public to help them identify an individual involved in a theft that took place at Waikoloa store on December 1.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140 to 160 pounds, brown hair with a mustache and goatee.  He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue shorts, and a light-colored baseball cap.

Police ask that anyone who recognizes the individual in the photo above to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or Officer Andrew Love at (808) 887-3080 or via email at Andrew.Love@hawaiicounty.gov.
