This Saturday, October 22, Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense and the USGS Hawaiʻi Volcano Observatory are hosting “Mauna Loa Volcano Status Update and Community Discussion.”
The purpose of the event is to share information about the status of Mauna Loa and the County’s preparedness plan with members of the community.
The free event, hosted by Talmadge Magno, Civil Defense Agency Administrator and Ken Hon Scientist in Charge at Hawaiʻi Volcano Observatory, will take place at the Ocean View community center located at 92-8924 Leilani Circle in Ocean View from 1p-3p.
