The Department of Transportation has announced a number of lane closures throughout Hawaiʻi Island during the week of August 22, 2022. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. Below is a detailed list of scheduled roadwork and maintenance:
MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11)
CAPTAIN COOK
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 110 and 113, Napoopoo Road and Tide Lane, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation control.
MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY/QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19)
KAMUELA
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway/Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69, vicinity of Hapuna Beach Road and Kawaihae Road, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.
HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 4 and 8, Kulana Kea Drive and Hanawi Street, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation control.
HAKALAU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

HAKALAU
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14.2 and 14.3, vicinity of Kolekole Stream, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge work.
HONOKAA
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 41 and 43, Kahawai Road and Plumeria Street, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and mowing with side arm.
WAIMEA
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 53 and 55, Kauakea Road and Kakanihia Road, on Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming and vegetation cutting.
KALANIANAOLE AVENUE (ROUTE 19)
