Beginning today, the Solid Waste Division will partially reopen the Glenwood Recycling and Transfer Station. Residents will have access to solid waste disposal and glass recycling only (Cardboard recycling remains temporarily suspended).
A fallen tree damaged the facility’s structure and prompted closure of the station in June. Today’s reopening is only partial as the Department works toward completing final repairs before the end of the year.
Regular operations and services will resume as follows:
- Glenwood Recycling and Transfer Station will resume partial operations on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday beginning August 16.
- Household waste will be accepted 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and recycling services will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cardboard will not be accepted.
- Volcano Recycling and Transfer Station will be open only on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. It will not be open on August 16.
- Household waste will be accepted 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and recycling services will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
