The Department of Transportation has announced a number of lane closures throughout Hawaiʻi Island during the week of June 27, 2022. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. Below is a detailed list of scheduled roadwork and maintenance:
KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11)
HILO TO KEAAU
Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 3 and 7, E Palai Street and Keaau Loop, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching and shoulder work.
MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11)
PAHALA
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 53 and 56, Maile Street and Ninole Loop Road, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.
CAPTAIN COOK
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 94 and 95, Ahe Kolo Place and Kukui O Pae Place, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree mulching and grass cutting.
HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19)

Left lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 6.3, Road G, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for repairing the sewer force main.
HAKALAU
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work.
HONOMU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 28 and 29, Stevens Road and Moonlight Road, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.
KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD/ PAHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130)

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 3, Highway 130 intersection with Hawaii Belt Road and Keaau High School, on Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and mulching trees.
