Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public to help them identify a woman who was involved in a Waimea theft last month.
On Tuesday, May 3, an unidentified female suspect was observed on video surveillance removing a handheld electronic tablet valued at $100 from a shopping cart located in the 65-0000 block of Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea.
The suspect is described as possibly being in her 30s to 40s with a fair complexion, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with red hair. She was last observed wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black leggings, and a black backpack.
