On Wednesday, April 20, the Merrie Monarch Arts & Crafts Fair will make its in person return to Hilo at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium and Butler Buildings.
The free event will take place from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday, April 20, Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22 and from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, April 23.
The fair will feature the work of over 130 local artisans which includes aloha wear, woodwork, photography, jewelry and skincare. Food trucks will be onsite as well as daily entertainment from local hālau.
In a press release Kegan Miura, Merrie Monarch Arts & Crafts Fair co-chairman said, “We’re excited to be back in-person celebrating hula, culture, arts and crafts with our community. Our vendors make this fair very special each year and we would not be able to have such a monumental event without their continued support. We are very thankful.”
COVID-19 protocols, including the use of face coverings while at the fair, unless actively eating or drinking will be enforced.
