The Department of Transportation has announced a number of lane closures throughout Hawaiʻi Island for the week of February 21. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Monday, February 21 in observance of Presidentʻs Day, unless permitted. Highway 130 special use lanes will not be operational.
Below is a detailed list of scheduled roadwork and maintenance:
KUAKINI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —
KEAUHOU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)
Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 117 and 119, Walua Road and Hawaii Belt Road, through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mulching, tree trimming and mowing.

MOUNTAIN VIEW (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 19 and 21, 1st Road and Omeka Road, through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mulching, tree trimming and mowing work.
HONAUNAU
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 87 and 89, Ohana Road and Papalani Road, on Tuesday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 89 and 90, Papalani Road and Hawaii Belt Road, through Monday, Feb. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction near mile marker 13.8, near Kolekole Beach Park, through Friday, Feb. 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for bridge repair work.
HONOMU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 19 and 20, Hanamalo Lane and Hawaii Belt Road, through Monday, Feb. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.
PAPAALOA
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 21 and 22, Huli’ili’i Stream and Weloka Stream, through Friday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and shoulder work.
