On Thanksgiving Day, the Hawai’i County Police Department will hold a holiday traffic safety sign waiving event on Kanoelehua Avenue near the Walmart parking lot in Hilo.  The event, which begins at 4:00 pm, is being done to remind people to drive sober or get pulled over.

Officers will be on the lookout for unsafe drivers and will enforce the law strictly with anyone found to be driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
