(AP) — Honolulu and Maui counties say they will allow restaurants and bars to operate at 100% capacity on Dec. 1 as the state eases some restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But Gov. David Ige says he will continue to require that travelers to Hawai’i from other states show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to avoid 10 days of quarantine when they arrive. Ige said coronavirus activity continues to be substantial. He says the state has lately been averaging about 100 new cases per day and it wouldn’t take much for those numbers to sharply escalate.
