Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced that 36 year-old Lila Lu Rose Clark of Puna was charged with drug prescription forgery and felony drug possession offenses in relation to five separate incidents occurring between October 2020 and February 2021.
As the Felony Information alleges, Clark was charged with fifteen felony offenses including, five counts each of Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree, Forgery in the Second Degree, and Prohibited Acts.
Clark remains in custody in lieu of $100,000.00 bail pending her initial appearance on Monday, November 22, in Hilo Circuit Court.
The joint investigation was lead by State Narcotic Enforcement Division special agents and Detective Kelly Moniz, Area I Vice Section, Hawai‘i Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Elyssa Correia-Keltner.
The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
