(AP) — Honolulu police say officers shot and killed a man wielding a machete. Interim Chief Rade Vanic says officers were called to a Kalihi parking lot where a man’s finger was severed. Officers found another man carrying a machete and ordered him to drop it. Vanic says the man raised the machete over his head and rushed toward an officer. Two officers fired their guns at him multiple times. The man was taken to a hospital where he died. Police haven’t released the name of the 41-year-old man. This was the third time this year Honolulu police shot and killed someone.
