(AP) — A pilot says he was performing a stunt in his single-engine, two-seat plane when he lost power and crashed into the ocean in Hawaiʻi. Pilot Claus Hansen told KITV that he was flying in a loop near Oʻahu. He said he sent a message on the radio Thursday before crashing. The 57-year-old was not injured. Hansen said he got out of the plane and swam to shore. Hansen will work with the U.S. Coast Guard to salvage the plane. Federal aviation officials will investigate the crash.
