(AP) — Maui County will soon require second coronavirus tests for out-of-state and international visitors. Mayor Michael Victorino said Wednesday that tourists flying into Maui County from outside Hawaiʻi will now need negative, pre-travel tests and negative tests when arriving at Kahului Airport. People who refuse either test will be required to quarantine for 10 days in Maui. Victorino estimated the program may take up to 10 business days to put in place. The Maui News reported that a study conducted in November found that two out of every 281 travelers who took a follow-up test at the airport tested positive.
