(AP) — Hawaiʻi’s largest labor union has filed a grievance over recent layoffs that by the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, which is building a delayed and beleaguered rail line project. Hawaiʻi News Now reported Saturday that the Hawaiʻi Government Employees Association says the authority has laid off dozens of staffers and contract workers since interim CEO Lori Kahikina assumed her role in January. The union says the authority should have provided workers with 90 days notice. Authority spokesman Joey Manahan says the agency has not yet reviewed the union’s grievance.
