The deadline to respond to the Kīlauea Recovery Housing Survey has been extended to April 2, 2021. The purpose of the survey is to understand the specific recovery needs and goals from property owners and renters directly impacted by lava inundation, isolation, or experiencing ongoing volcanic heat from the 2018 Kīlauea eruption.
The findings of the survey will inform how financial resources for eruption recovery will be used to assist households and build infrastructure in the impacted areas. Among the housing solutions, the County is developing a Voluntary Housing Buyout Program.
So far, more than 700 surveys have been completed. The survey can be accessed here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/KILAUEASURVEY
