In an effort to help customers reduce water waste and save money The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Water Supply (DWS) is launching Fix-a-Leak Week, beginning March 15, 2021.

Fix-a-leak week tries to help customers reduce their water waste and save money by offering daily conservation tips on their website.  Daily tips will include how to look for household water leaks, easily repair a leaking toilet and the proper way to install a low-flow shower head.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has sponsored the annual Fix-a-Leak Week events since 2009 as a way of highlighting areas where water waste is commonplace inside many homes, outdoor areas and workplaces.

Visit www.hawaiidws.org, or visit the DWS Facebook page for more information and to access daily water conservation tips.

The EPA will also be offering additional tips and activities on their website in celebration of fix-a-leak week.
