The State Department of Health has confirmed 95 new cases of COVID-19 the same number as Friday, bringing the state’s total to 20,983. These numbers reflect tests as of last Friday. State DOH now reports all numbers two days late. In the past 14 days, the number of new cases has been 1,701.
The Big Island count increased by 3. The island has had 1,862 total cases of COVID-19, and 51 people are known to have died from the virus. The most recent death was reported today by Hawaii County Civil Defense. Statewide, the DOH is confirming 285 deaths from COVID.
Hawaii County Civil Defense says as of now, there are 5 patients with severe COVID-19 cases in Big Island hospitals.
