The County is supporting three drive-through COVID-19 test sites today:
•Prince Kuhio in Hilo, from 8 a.m. until noon
• West Hawaii Civic Center, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
•Kea’au High School, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
The testings are drive-through, and everybody needs to wear a mask. There may be long lines, so be prepared.
County testing is funded by Federal CARES funds, which are no longer available at the end of the year. It’s not clear whether there will be funding to continue the amount of testing that’s been ongoing since the Federal government provided funding.
