The State, after days of more modest increases, has confirmed 163 new cases of COVID-19 today. The State’s total number of COVID-19 cases is 17,098. The State Department of Health has confirmed 7 additional deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total number of people in the state who have died from COVID-19 to 231.
O’ahu has added 123 cases, Maui Island has added 12, there are 9 new cases in Hawaii residents who are out of state, and Kaua’i added 4. There were no new cases in the other two islands in Maui County–Moloka’i and Lana’i.
There are 15 new cases on Hawaii Island, bringing the island’s total to 1,527. Of those, at least 150 are active as they were contracted within the past 14 days. There are likely more.
