According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide case report increased by 574,316 in the last 24 hours. Deaths worldwide increased by 5,759.
According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 112,036 cases in the last 24 hours. This is the fifth day in a row the new cases have been greater than 100,000. In the last day, the number of reported deaths from COVID-19 increased by 433.
The State of Hawaii Department of Health says the state’s count of COVID-19 cases is 15,947. On Sunday, for the fifth day in a row, the number of new cases in the state was 100 or great (Sunday was 128). The Big Island now has 1,405 total cases. As of Sunday, the State DOH stopped releasing enough information to determine the number of active cases, so that number is now not known for either state nor county. On Saturday the Big Island had 356 active cases.

There is good news on the vaccine front: today Pfizer announced that early results of its Stage 3 Clinical Trial, in conjunction with BioNTech showed a 90% effective rate in preventing COVID-19. It will be submitting full safety data to the FDA as soon as the third week of November.
