Hawaii County is offering free COVID-19 testing at West Hawaii Civic Center in the parking lot today from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There is no charge for the testing.
With 40% of the people with COVID-19 having no symptoms, and the cases on the Big Island second in number to O’ahu, Hawaii County officials are urging people to take advantage of the free testing. There have been clusters of cases around the island, including in Kona, many from gatherings, including some at apartment complexes. Since last Monday, 77 new cases have been reported on the island. The island’s total count now is 1,375 with around 356 active cases.
Bring a pen, bring a hard surface (magazine, clipboard) to use to fill out your registration form, and wear a mask.
