Hawaii County is offering free COVID-19 testing at West Hawaii Civic Center in the parking lot on Saturday, tomorrow, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There is no charge for the testing.
With 40% of the people with COVID-19 having no symptoms, and the cases on the Big Island second in number to O’ahu, Hawaii County officials are urging people to take advantage of the free testing. There have been clusters of cases around the island, including in Kona, many from gatherings, including some at apartment complexes. Today the island had 21 new cases, Thursday there were 24 new, Wednesday there were 21 new, Tuesday there were 7 new, and Monday saw 4 new cases.
Bring a pen, bring a hard surface (magazine, clipboard) to use to fill out your registration form, and wear a mask.
