Hawaii County is sponsoring free COVID-19 testing at several sites Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The testing is drive-through, and open to anybody, at no charge, with no co-pay. However, if you do have insurance–bring your card, and bring a photo ID.
Testing is as follows:
- Wednesday, October 21, Keauhou Shopping Center, 9:00am-Noon (behind Regal Cinemas)
- Wednesday, October 21, Civic Auditorium, Hilo, 3:00pm-6:00pm. Please enter from Kuawa Street entrance.
- Friday, October 23, Keauhou Shopping Center, 9:00am-Noon (behind Regal Cinemas)
- Saturday, October 24, Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, Kahuku Park, 9:00am-1:00pm.
Everybody in the vehicle should wear a face covering at all times, and observe social distancing. You should also bring a pen, and a hard surface to put your forms on as you fill them out. Since COVID-19 victims may have no symptoms, the County is urging people to get tested to help stop the spread of the virus. All areas of the island have had cases of COVID-19.
